President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, on the occasion of his birthday on March 17, 2026.
According to a statement issued by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, the President commended the governor for the progress recorded in the state under his leadership over the past two years.
Tinubu described Mbah, a lawyer and philanthropist, as a leader committed to the ideals of progressive governance and constitutional democracy, noting that his administration has embarked on transformational projects and programmes aimed at improving the lives of residents.
Before his election as governor in 2023, Mbah built a successful career in the private sector, particularly in the oil and gas industry.
Reflecting on his official visit to Enugu in 2025, the President said he witnessed firsthand the impact of Mbah’s leadership.
“During my official visit to Enugu in 2025, I witnessed firsthand what good and competent leadership, as demonstrated by Mbah, can accomplish when anchored on vision and service to the people,” Tinubu stated.
The President also commended the governor’s inclusive style of governance and his collaboration with other leaders in the South-East, which he said is helping to reposition the region for economic and political transformation.
Tinubu wished the Enugu governor good health and renewed strength as he continues to deliver on his mandate to the people of the state.
