Tinubu condoles Jega over wife’s passing

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended his condolences to Professor Attahiru Jega, Special Adviser on Livestock Development, following the death of his wife, Hajiya Hadiza Jega.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, who attended the Janazah prayer held at the National Mosque Abuja on Sunday, conveyed the President’s message of sympathy to the bereaved family.

In a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, the President described the late Hadiza Jega as a woman of exceptional grace and character, noting that she was a strong pillar of support to her husband throughout his years in public service, including his tenure as Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

President Tinubu also commended her contributions to education and community development.

He expressed deep sorrow over the loss, stating that her passing was a painful blow, and prayed for the repose of her soul, asking that Almighty God grant her Aljannatul Firdaus. The President further assured Professor Jega and his family of his support during this period of mourning.
