The University of Abuja and Tanta University, Egypt, have officially established a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster joint cooperation in higher education and scientific research. The primary aim of this collaboration is to support and facilitate a framework for mutual growth and progress between the two prestigious institutions.
The MoU encompasses various aspects of cooperation, including the training of academic staff and the exchange of valuable experiences, enhancing the academic prowess of both universities. Furthermore, the agreement allows students from the University of Abuja the opportunity to study at Tanta University, promoting cross-cultural learning and academic diversity.
Representing the University of Abuja during the signing ceremony were two esteemed individuals, namely Professor Aisha Maikudi, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), and Professor Philip Afaha, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration). Accompanying them were Professor Sulaiman Alabi Yusuf and Dr. Taher Abdelaal, both affiliated with the Department of Arabic Language.

On behalf of Tanta University, the signing ceremony was attended by Professor Mohammed Hussain Mahmoud, the Deputy President (Academic), and Professor Mahmoud Shakl, the Director of International Relations and International Students Affairs.
The ceremony also witnessed the presence of Mr. Adesoye Samotu, the Deputy Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Egypt, further emphasizing the significance of this collaboration between the two nations.
Through this MoU, both the University of Abuja and Tanta University are poised to make substantial strides in their academic pursuits and contribute significantly to the advancement of higher education and scientific research in their respective regions.
