President Bola Tinubu, in observance of the holy month of Ramadan, attended the Ramadan Tafsir (explanation of the Holy Qur’an) alongside Muslim faithful at the State House Mosque on Tuesday, where he urged Nigerians to fervently pray for peace and stability across the nation.
Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, relayed President Tinubu’s message, underscoring the significance of unity, compassion, and national progress during the sacred month of Ramadan.
Addressing attendees at the annual Tafsir, President Tinubu encouraged Muslims to exhibit kindness towards one another and extend support to the less fortunate in society.
“We express gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting us the opportunity to witness another Ramadan. Despite the challenges we face, it is incumbent upon us to make sacrifices, display self-discipline, assist others, and foster kindness amongst ourselves,” remarked President Tinubu.

Amidst the prevailing challenges of kidnapping and banditry, President Tinubu implored divine intervention, invoking prayers for mercy upon the nation and its citizens, both living and deceased.
Furthermore, President Tinubu stressed the crucial role of Ulamas (Muslim scholars) in guiding the faithful, emphasizing the importance of teaching forgiveness, patience, and endurance, while urging them to share their blessings with others.
“As we embrace the spirit of sacrifice during this period, let us exemplify kindness and humility, recognizing that the lessons of Ramadan extend beyond mere rituals. May Almighty Allah grant us the fortitude and moral strength to elevate our nation and contribute to Nigeria’s greatness,” President Tinubu prayed.
