On Thursday, March 28, 2024, operatives from the Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) executed the arrest of seventy-four (74) individuals suspected of involvement in internet fraud within Ogun State.
The apprehension of these alleged perpetrators took place at the Government Residential Area (G.R.A), Shagamu, Ogun State, subsequent to meticulous surveillance and intelligence operations that uncovered their purported engagement in internet-related criminal activities.
Among the items confiscated during the operation are seven high-end vehicles, three laptops, 124 mobile phones, one PlayStation 3 gaming console, two motorcycles, and assorted documents bearing incriminating evidence.
Upon the completion of thorough investigations, these suspects will be presented before the court to face appropriate legal proceedings.
