The terrorist was intercepted by troops conducting a fighting patrol in Kidandan, a village in Giwa LGA, when he attempted to flee on a motorbike. The troops pursued him, prompting him to abandon the bike and flee into a nearby settlement. The determined troops tracked and neutralized the terrorist as he tried to escape into the bush at the outskirts of the community.
Recovered from the scene were the abandoned motorbike, two bags of corn flour, and a mobile phone. Intelligence operatives later confirmed the terrorist’s identity as Daushe, a known associate of Buharin Yadi. This swift and coordinated operation has successfully prevented a potential threat to the community.
Troops continue to maintain a strong presence in the area to ensure a peaceful and secure Sallah celebration for all residents in Giwa Local Government Area.
