Journalist seeks N5 million for urgent brain tumor surgery

Hafsat Abdulhamid Adebayo, a 38-year-old female journalist, is urgently appealing for financial assistance to undergo a critical brain tumor surgery.

Hafsat, bedridden for the past four years, was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) following extensive efforts at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital in Bauchi. Despite a surgery last year funded by the Bauchi State Government, she now requires another emergency operation.

Her elder sister, Aishat Abdulhamid, described Hafsat’s prolonged struggle. “She has really suffered a lot. We have spent all our savings, and friends, family, and colleagues have really tried. She had a surgery last year with the intervention of the Bauchi State Government where the tumor was evacuated, and she was recovering at home.”

Currently, Hafsat is unable to eat, talk, or walk, and her condition necessitates immediate surgical intervention. “We appeal to Nigerians to assist us. May God bless,” Aishat pleaded.

Hafsat, a dedicated mother and journalist for over a decade, can be reached for support at 0802 625 7016, 0903 070 6524, or through her Access Bank account: 0100070850, Hafsat Abdulhamid Adebayo.
