Nigerian Navy honours retiring senior officers in Abuja

The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla on Friday, August 2, 2024,hosted a send-off ceremony at the Naval Headquarters (NHQ) in Abuja.

The event honored the retirement of three distinguished officers: Naval Warrant Officer Mayos Abubakar Dahiru, the first Nigerian Navy Chief Boatswain Mate, and Master Warrant Officers PADA David Lokoda and OLO Mohammed Almustapha.

The ceremony celebrated their 35 years of exemplary service and significant contributions to the Nigerian Navy and the nation. Vice Admiral Ogalla commended their exceptional dedication, professionalism, and commitment, highlighting the importance of their roles in the Navy’s success. He encouraged the retirees to continue being good ambassadors for the Nigerian Navy and exemplary citizens.

The event, attended by Principal Staff Officers and Directors from the NHQ, was marked by a warm and memorable atmosphere. The ceremony provided a fitting tribute to the three retirees, recognizing their years of service and dedication to duty.
