In response to a surge in attacks targeting civilians in Borno State, Nigerian Air Force air strikes destroyed a suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED) factory in Grazah, deep within the Mandara Hills. The operation, part of Operation Hadin Kai, followed intelligence reports identifying the location as a possible IED production and logistics hub.
The factory, previously relocated from Gwoza to the Timbuktu Triangle in Sambisa Forest, had moved to Grazah due to sustained pressure from security forces. Surveillance over several weeks confirmed the presence of armed terrorists and installations indicative of a strategic site. Two gun trucks were also spotted near the suspected factory.
The air strikes, executed with precision, resulted in the destruction of the IED factory and gun trucks, with a thick cloud of smoke confirming the successful operation. Numerous terrorists were neutralized.
Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, Director of Public Relations and Information for the Nigerian Air Force, stated that these efforts reflect the ongoing commitment to dismantling terrorist operations and protecting civilians.
