AOCOSA 79-84 set elects new leadership, promises fresh start

The Adeola Odutola College Old Student Association (AOCOSA) 79-84 Set has elected a new executive team to lead the association for the 2024-2026 term.

In a closely contested online election, Mr. Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Chairman of the Electoral Committee, announced Mr. Alade Harrison Onabanjo as the newly elected President, who secured 100% of the votes.

The other elected officers are:

  • Vice President: Mr. Abdulazeez Olawale Balogun (91.1% of votes)
  • Secretary: Mr. Moshood Bajo (77.1% of votes)
  • Assistant Secretary: Mrs. Ramotalai Aribike Oseni (58.6% of votes)
  • Treasurer: Ms. Adetutu Ogunba (50% of votes)
  • Financial Secretary: Mrs. Funmilayo Akeeb (96.7% of votes)
  • Welfare/Social Officer: Ms. Idowu Alice Aiyenuro (61.8% of votes)
  • P.R.O.: Ms. Titilayo Kuburat Abass (98.8% of votes)
  • Legal Advisor: Barrister Aderinsayo Adewunmi (100% of votes)
  • Auditor: Bishop Olalekan Wasiu (96.9% of votes)
  • Ex-Officio: Mr. Shakiru Abiodun Balogun (100% of votes)

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Onabanjo emphasized the importance of inclusive participation, urging all members to work together to make their set a model for others. He pledged to lead with responsibility, loyalty, and integrity.

The set recently marked its 40th anniversary by donating solar streetlights worth millions of naira to the 79-year-old college.
