The promotions underscore the exceptional performance of officers during the 2024 exercise. Promotions also impacted ranks from Chief Superintendents to Inspectors of Customs across various levels.

Special recognition was given to 16 officers for outstanding contributions, while a posthumous promotion honored late Deputy Comptroller Etop Andrew Essien for his dedication.

To improve service delivery, the Post Clearance Audit Unit has been transferred directly to the Comptroller General’s office, now led by an ACG for greater oversight and operational efficiency.

In light of significant retirements, the Board approved a 12-month service extension for distinguished senior officers from each geopolitical zone, including ACGs B. Imam (North-East) and I.G. Umar (North-West).

Comptroller-General Bashir Adewale Adeniyi congratulated the officers, urging them to uphold the Service’s mandates and ensure excellence.
