In a coordinated air operation, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has delivered a significant blow to terrorist elements in Buratai, Borno State.
Confirming the operation, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, stated that the precision strike was conducted early Thursday under Operation HADIN KAI, based on credible intelligence. The operation resulted in the neutralisation of several fighters and the destruction of two gun trucks loaded with supplies.
He explained that surveillance assets had tracked insurgents attempting to escape in a convoy of four gun trucks. As the terrorists regrouped along an active route, NAF air assets engaged them with lethal precision, successfully halting their plans.
Further details, including casualty figures and operational impact assessments, will be released as they become available, he added.
