Troops disrupt terror supply chains in Northeast

Troops of Operation HADIN KAI, working in synergy with the Air Component, Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), and local hunters, have intensified efforts to dismantle terrorist logistics networks in the Northeast. The operations, conducted between July 15 and 22, 2025, spanned several locations in Borno and Adamawa States.

Multiple terrorist supply routes were successfully disrupted, leading to the arrest of seven suspected logistics suppliers. Items recovered included motorcycles, food supplies, fuel, communication gadgets, and hard drugs. In a series of coordinated raids and ambushes in Gwoza, Kaga, Bama, Monguno, and Konduga local government areas, troops neutralized several terrorists and foiled planned attacks.

Significant arrests included an individual found with unauthorized Starlink satellite communication equipment and another caught transporting a large quantity of illicit drugs. Additionally, arms, improvised explosive device (IED) components, and other tactical communication tools were seized.

In Bama LGA, ten family members of terrorists voluntarily surrendered to the troops. A major interception on July 22 also halted a consignment of high-tech equipment and supplies en route to Gamboru.

Commending the troops for their courage and professionalism, the Chief of Army Staff reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to eradicating terrorism and restoring lasting peace in the region.
