His Excellency Mai Mala Buni, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, expressed his deep appreciation to Major General MLD Saraso, Commander of Sector 2 Joint Task Force (JTF) North East (NE) Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), for the successful military operations carried out in the state. This commendation took place during a courtesy visit to the Task Force Headquarters in Damaturu on Monday, 24th July 2023.
During the visit, Governor Mai Mala Buni acknowledged the sacrifices, dedication, and hard work of the officers and soldiers at Headquarters Sector 2 in their efforts to restore peace in the state. He assured Major General MLD Saraso of the government’s unwavering support in fulfilling their constitutional mandate.
In response, Major General MLD Saraso expressed gratitude to the State Government, stakeholders, and other security agencies for their cooperation in the fight against insurgency within the state. He emphasized that Sector 2 would continue to conduct military offensive operations against insurgent hideouts while also engaging with the local population through non-kinetic approaches to win their hearts and minds.
The visit concluded with the presentation of souvenirs and group photographs as mementos of the occasion.
