In a statement, Force Public Relations Officer Force Headquarters, Abuja ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said the ECONEC team, led by Mrs. Davidetta Browne Lansanah, Chairperson of the National Elections Commission of Liberia, included senior electoral officials such as Dr. Bossman Asare, Deputy Chairman of Ghana’s Electoral Commission, Mr. Chinedu Chinedu, Senior Programme Officer at ECONEC, Prof. Bolade Eyinla, Chief Technical Adviser to INEC, and other representatives and development partners.
In her remarks, Mrs. Lansanah commended the IGP for his continued support, emphasizing the vital role of the police in ensuring electoral security. He further acknowledged positive feedback from international observers on the conduct of the Police during recent elections and called for sustained collaboration between electoral bodies and security agencies to build trust and ensure credible polls.
