The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has completed an upgrade of its diaspora enrolment platform to enhance the management and delivery of National Identification Number (NIN) services to Nigerians living abroad.
In a statement issued on Monday, NIMC’s Head of Corporate Communications, Dr. Kayode Adegoke, said the upgrade will deliver a more seamless, secure, and efficient enrolment process for Nigerians in the diaspora.
Following the upgrade, Diaspora Front-End Partners (FEPs) have been onboarded onto the new system and given intensive training to ensure effective application and management. All FEPs are required to obtain and activate their enrolment licences within 48 hours, after which diaspora applicants can access services from compliant partners.
Dr. Adegoke acknowledged that the upgrade process may have caused temporary disruptions, adding that a dedicated service team is in place to address related issues. Affected applicants can contact the Commission via nimccustomercare@nimc.gov.ng for prompt assistance.
He also noted that NIN enrolment continues at all centres across Nigeria, with details of locations available on the NIMC website (www.nimc.gov.ng). Nigerians both at home and abroad can also update their NIN data through the self-service modification portal at https://selfservicemodification.nimc.gov.ng.
The Commission further urged NIN holders to download the NIMC NINAuthApp from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store to verify their NINs, manage data visibility, and access secure verification and authentication services.
