The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced plans to conduct its annual 10-kilometre Walk/Jog Exercise in Abuja on Saturday, 18 October 2025, as part of efforts to promote physical fitness, well-being, and operational readiness among its personnel.

According to a statement issued by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, the exercise will commence at 6:00 a.m. and end by 8:00 a.m.

To ensure the safety of participants and members of the public, the service lane between Karu Bridge and Mogadishu Cantonment Bridge will be temporarily closed to vehicular movement during the event. Normal traffic flow will resume immediately after the exercise.

The NAF assured residents of the Federal Capital Territory that adequate arrangements have been made to minimise any inconvenience caused by the temporary road closure.

“The Nigerian Air Force appreciates the understanding and cooperation of the general public as it continues to prioritise the health and fitness of its personnel in service to the nation,” the statement added.
