The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has uncovered a clandestine laboratory in Lagos where “Colorado” — a potent synthetic strain of cannabis — was being illicitly produced. Operatives of the Agency arrested the 30-year-old mastermind, Stephen Kelechi Imoh, after raiding a residential building converted into a drug lab at Ajao Estate, Isolo.
According to NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, the breakthrough followed months of intelligence gathering after officers intercepted locally produced batches of the psychoactive substance in earlier operations. During the raid on Thursday, October 30, 2025, operatives recovered 16.2kg of freshly cooked Colos, 1.7kg of ADB-CHMNACA Cannabinol, 4.5kg of Potassium Carbonate, and 91 litres of Dibromobutane, all used in the production process.
In another Lagos operation on Saturday, November 1, NDLEA agents stormed the hideout of Afeez Salisu (alias Malu) in Mushin, seizing 16 compressed blocks of Ghana Loud and designer sachets of Colorado weighing 16.4kg.
Also arrested was 20-year-old music artist Godspower George Osahenrumwen, popularly known as Steady Boy, who attempted to take delivery of 77.2kg of Loud concealed inside three imported bathtubs. The consignment, which arrived aboard a DHL flight from New York, was addressed to his Lekki residence. NDLEA said the suspect was acting on behalf of a syndicate led by his manager, Zion Osazee Omigie (a.k.a. Zee Money), who remains at large.
Nationwide operations during the same week also yielded major seizures:

Meanwhile, NDLEA commands across Nigeria intensified the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) campaign through sensitization activities in schools, worship centres, and communities nationwide, including outreach programs in Oyo, Lagos, Sokoto, Jigawa, and Kano States.
Commending the efforts of officers across all commands, NDLEA Chairman/Chief Executive, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd.), vowed to continue dismantling drug cartels and ensuring the forfeiture of all assets linked to the illicit trade. “The Agency will not relent until every identified drug syndicate is neutralized and their criminal proceeds recovered for the Federal Government,” Marwa affirmed.
