NTAC DG hails CIFCFIN’s ‘giant strides’ at 2nd founders’ day

The Director General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub, has applauded the Chartered Institute of Forensics and Fraud Investigators of Nigeria (CIFCFIN) for what he described as its “giant strides” since inception.

Buba gave the commendation on Thursday in Abuja during the Institute’s 2nd Founders’ Day celebration, which featured the induction of new members, professional practitioners, and Fellows, as well as the presentation of awards to distinguished individuals.

The event, chaired by Justice Moore Abraham Aseimo of the Supreme Court, drew several high-profile attendees, including CIFCFIN Founder and Pioneer President, Dr. Iliyasu Buba Gashinbaki; Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Alhaji Mairiga Aliyu Katuga; and CIFCFIN Registrar/CEO, Dr. Isa Egah Salifu.

Also in attendance were former EFCC Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, representatives of the Development Bank of Nigeria, the Inspector General of Police, and the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), among other senior government officials and stakeholders.

In his remarks, Buba expressed satisfaction with the Institute’s achievements, noting that its rapid growth underscores a firm dedication to enhancing professionalism in forensics and fraud investigation—key components in the national fight against corruption and economic crimes.

The NTAC DG was among those honoured at the ceremony, with speakers highlighting his role in sponsoring the Bill that established the Institute.

The event ended with an official photo session involving CIFCFIN leadership, honourees, and invited guests.
