The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has restored bulk power transmission on the Shiroro–Mando 330kV Line II after a four-day outage caused by a detached conductor.
Confirming the report, GM, Public Affairs Ndidi Mbah said the line, which tripped on Friday, November 28, 2025, at about 8:34 a.m., was brought back into service at 11:56 a.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, following repairs by TCN’s line patrol team. Engineers traced the interruption to a detached conductor on Tower T39, which was subsequently fixed.
TCN noted that security challenges along the line route delayed access to the fault location, extending the restoration period.
The company apologised to electricity consumers affected by the outage and thanked stakeholders for their patience during the repairs.
