President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday, December 28, departed Lagos for Europe as part of his end-of-year break and in preparation for an official visit to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
According to a statement issued by Mr Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, during the trip, President Tinubu will attend the 2026 edition of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW 2026) Summit at the invitation of the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The summit is scheduled to hold in early January in Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is a weeklong global platform that convenes leaders from government, business and civil society to shape the future of sustainable development. The 2026 summit, themed “The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go,” will focus on translating ambition into action across innovation, finance and human capital, while highlighting pathways for global progress and resilience.
President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria after the conclusion of the summit.
