NDA warns public against fake admission letters

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has alerted the public to the circulation of fraudulent letters falsely claiming to offer admission into the Academy’s 77 Regular Course (RC).

In a statement the Academy Public Relations Officer, Major Reuben Kovangiya, said the fake letters, purportedly signed by the Academy Registrar, are the handiwork of fraudsters seeking to deceive and defraud unsuspecting members of the public. The Academy stressed that it has not issued any such admission offers beyond the officially approved list.

According to the NDA, the authentic admission list of successful candidates and reserves for the 77 Regular Course was published in the Daily Trust and Daily Sun newspapers of 19 August 2025, as well as on the Academy’s official website. It added that successful candidates have since resumed, and the admission process for the 77 RC has been fully concluded.

The Academy therefore urged members of the public to disregard any letter, message, or communication claiming to offer admission into the NDA outside the established process. Prospective candidates and their families were advised to verify all admission-related information directly with the Office of the Academy Registrar through official channels.
