The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has strengthened its executive airlift capability with the qualification of Squadron Leader NA Bose and Flight Lieutenant AM Muazu as captains on the Citation CJ3 aircraft, NAF 957.
The two officers successfully completed their captaincy training at the 301 Heavy Airlift Group (301 HAG), marking another milestone in the service’s efforts to enhance aircrew proficiency and operational effectiveness.
The achievement reflects NAF’s continued investment in professional training and the development of skilled personnel to support safe and efficient air operations.
Both officers bring considerable flying experience across various NAF aircraft platforms, demonstrating the depth of training and professional development that underpin their advancement.
Their qualification was celebrated with the traditional aviation Shower of Honour, an event recognising their dedication, discipline and commitment to excellence.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Commander of 301 HAG, Group Captain IS Kalgo, described the achievement as a testament to the Air Force’s commitment to continuous capacity development.
Kalgo expressed appreciation to the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, for his sustained support for personnel training and professional growth.
He said the newly qualified captains would further strengthen the Group’s capacity to deliver safe, efficient and reliable air transport services in support of national requirements.
