PDP appoints Amina Divine Arong as national woman leader

In a significant development within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Amina Divine Arong, a distinguished women mobilizer hailing from Cross River State, has been appointed as the new National Woman Leader of the Party.

In a statement, National Publicity Secretary Hon. Debo Ologunagba said Hon. Arong, holding a Diploma in Banking and Finance and a B.Sc. in Accounting, steps into the role to fulfill the remaining term of the late National Woman Leader, Prof. Stella Effah-Attoe, who passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023.

Bringing a wealth of intellectual capacity, experience, competence, and enthusiasm in mobilizing women for the Party at both state and national levels, the newly appointed National Woman Leader is poised to contribute significantly to the leadership of the PDP.

The Peoples Democratic Party acknowledges and commends Hon. Arong’s longstanding commitment to the Party’s growth, specifically highlighting her pivotal roles in mobilizing various Party Women and Youth groups at different levels. Additionally, her involvement in overseeing Party Primaries and Congresses in various regions of the country has been recognized and appreciated.

Expressing satisfaction with the appointment, the PDP congratulates Hon. Arong and entrusts her with the responsibility of utilizing her capacity and experience.
