Commander TRADOC warns against exam malpractice in ongoing 2024 LCPPE

Major General Kevin Aligbe, the Examination President and Commander of Training and Doctrine Command, Nigerian Army (TRADOC NA), has emphasized a strict stance against examination malpractices in the ongoing 2024 Lieutenant to Captain Practical Promotion Examination (LCPPE) being held at Maxwell Khobe Cantonment, within the 3 Armoured Division Nigerian Army Area of Responsibility, in Jos, Plateau State.

In a statement, Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations Lieut. Col. Sani Uba said General Aligbe delivered this message during his address to the candidates participating in the 2024 LCPPE, held at Diamond Hall, Crispan Suites and Events Centre in Jos, Plateau State, on Sunday, February 11, 2024.

He unequivocally warned the candidates to refrain from engaging in any form of malpractice during the examination, emphasizing that severe sanctions would be imposed on offenders, potentially altering their progression within the Nigerian Army.

Highlighting the significance of the examination, General Aligbe stressed that it forms part of a comprehensive professional military education program aimed at enhancing the proficiency and junior leadership capabilities of the officers. Furthermore, it serves to instill the core values of the Nigerian Army in the young officers.

General Aligbe further revealed that the examination would assess not only the candidates’ knowledge but also their discipline and courage, which are pivotal for career advancement within the Nigerian Army. He underscored the alignment of the examination with the Command Philosophy of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, focusing on transforming the Nigerian Army into a well-trained, equipped, and highly motivated force capable of fulfilling its constitutional responsibilities in a joint environment.

Assuring fairness and transparency in the conduct of the examination, General Aligbe assured the candidates that the panelists and directing staff would uphold the highest standards of integrity.

In his welcome address, Major General AE Abubakar, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 3 Division and Commander of the Special Task Force, Operation Safe Haven, emphasized the importance of the examination in shaping the candidates’ career progression. He urged them to approach the examination with dedication and maintain decorum and discipline throughout.

The event was attended by observers from Army Headquarters, Headquarters 3 Armoured Division Nigerian Army, Principal Staff Officers from Headquarters TRADOC, Nigerian Army, Examination Panelists, and Directing Staff for the 2024 Lieutenant to Captain Practical Promotion Examination.
