The victims identified as the Onimojo of Imojo-Ekiti, Oba Olatunde Samuel Olusola, and the Elesun of Esun-Ekiti, Oba David Babatunde Ogunsola, fell victim to what has been described as a mindless and brutal act of violence.
In a statement by Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Chief Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu unequivocally condemned this heinous act and assured the nation that the perpetrators would face the full force of the law, emphasizing that justice would not be evaded. The President extended heartfelt condolences to the grieving families and subjects of the deceased traditional rulers, as well as to Governor Biodun Oyebanji and the entire populace of Ekiti State in the wake of this deeply distressing incident.
In response to the worsening security situation in the region, President Tinubu issued a directive for the immediate rescue of pupils and teachers who were kidnapped in the Eporo-Ekiti area of the State.
