The Nigeria Police Force takes note of the recent dissemination of a document purportedly detailing findings from an investigation concerning allegations against Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State. This document alleges instances of fraudulent misrepresentation, certificate forgery, examination malpractice, and perjury against the governor.
In response, the Force Public Relations Officer, based at Force Headquarters, Abuja, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, wishes to clarify that the aforementioned document did not originate from the Nigeria Police Force. Furthermore, the individual purported to be the signatory—a Deputy Commissioner of Police—lacks the authority to issue such a report on behalf of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) or any other relevant departments within the Nigeria Police Force.
ACP Adejobi emphasizes that the Nigeria Police Force is presently investigating the origins of the document and the circumstances surrounding its circulation. He urges the public to exercise prudence and refrain from disseminating unverified information that could potentially damage the reputation of individuals or public officials.
Furthermore, ACP Adejobi assures the public that any official communications or reports regarding investigations conducted by the Nigeria Police Force will be disseminated through appropriate channels.
