EFCC hosts first INTERPOL/JICA workshop in Abuja

As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation with international law enforcement, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will host the inaugural INTERPOL/Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Workshop. The event will take place at the EFCC Academy in Karu, Abuja, starting on Monday, July 29, 2024.

Jointly organized by INTERPOL’s Financial Crime and Anti-Corruption Centre (IFACC) and JICA, the workshop aims to enhance the capabilities of Nigerian law enforcement agencies in combating financial crimes. The workshop will run from July 29 to August 1, 2024.

Participants will include representatives from international and local law enforcement agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, EFCC, Nigeria Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU), and other key organizations. The Executive Chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, will deliver remarks at the opening session of the workshop.
