Police arrest two more suspects in Odumosu kidnap case, recovered N2.25m Ransom and weapons 

In a swift operation following directives from the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, the Lagos State CP Special Squad has arrested two additional suspects connected to the abduction of Mrs. Odumosu, wife of retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Hakeem Odumosu.

According to Force Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters, Abuja ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the suspects, identified as Agbojule Smart (27) and Keleke Michael (30), were intercepted early Friday, January 24, 2025, while attempting to flee Lagos State. Upon interrogation, they confessed to being members of a four-person gang responsible for the kidnap. Two other members of the gang had been neutralized in previous operations.

Items recovered during the arrest include ₦2.25 million of the ransom money, two locally fabricated rifles, and 11 live cartridges.

Commending the operatives for their diligence, the IGP urged them to sustain their commitment to crime-fighting and public safety. The Nigeria Police Force reaffirmed its dedication to reducing crime and fostering peace nationwide.
