The Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ahmed Audi, has urged officers to avoid inter-agency rivalry and instead foster collaboration with other security agencies.
Speaking at the commissioning of the newly renovated NSCDC FCT Command headquarters Quarter Guard on Wednesday, Audi emphasized the need for officers to respect boundaries and leverage existing relationships among security agencies.
“Don’t envy your brothers; rather, learn from the experiences of officers and agencies that have been there for years,” he advised. “Humble yourself and avoid actions that could embarrass the Corps. Accidental discharge is not acceptable under our standard operating procedures.”
He also reiterated the Corps’ responsibility in protecting Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI), urging personnel to remain dedicated to their duties.
While inaugurating the new facility, Audi highlighted the significance of the Quarter Guard in upholding regimental discipline and enhancing the Corps’ image.
He commended the FCT Commandant, Olusola Odumosu, for his leadership and efforts in strengthening the Corps’ operations in the capital. “Dr. Odumosu knows where he is going, and the management of the Corps is proud of him,” Audi stated.
The event reinforced the NSCDC’s commitment to professionalism and inter-agency cooperation in national security efforts.
