The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has vowed to bring to justice those responsible for the death of Senior Correctional Assistant (SCA) Shuaibu King David, who was killed during a jailbreak at the Medium Security Custodial Centre, Koton-Karfe, Kogi State, on Monday, March 24, 2025.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Acting Controller-General of Corrections, Sylvester Nwakuche, expressed deep condolences to the family, colleagues, and loved ones of the fallen officer. He praised SCA David’s bravery and sacrifice, highlighting that his efforts to prevent the escape of inmates and protect the integrity of the facility demonstrated his unwavering commitment to service and national security.

“The Service remains committed to ensuring the safety of officers and the security of custodial facilities across the country,” Nwakuche affirmed.
