NNPC GCEO, Chevron Executives deepen strategic energy partnership

The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.), Mr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, on Tuesday received a delegation from Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) on a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening collaboration between the two energy giants.

During the meeting, Ojulari reaffirmed NNPC Ltd.’s commitment to enhancing its partnership with Chevron, particularly in the gas value chain. He emphasized the importance of effective, value-driven relationships in advancing shared goals and delivering sustainable benefits to Nigeria’s energy sector.

“We are committed to deepening discussions around gas-related business opportunities and fostering partnerships that drive innovation and mutual growth,” the GCEO stated.

The Chairman and Managing Director of CNL, Mr. Jim Swartz, outlined the company’s strategic priorities and identified potential areas for enhanced alignment with NNPC Ltd. He expressed Chevron’s readiness to continue contributing meaningfully to the country’s energy development agenda.

Both parties reiterated their commitment to advancing Nigeria’s energy sector through strategic, long-term partnerships.

The Chevron delegation included top executives: Jim Swartz (Chairman/Managing Director), Segun Kuteyi (Director, JV Operations), Michelle Pflueger (Director, Deepwater & PSCs), Rizu Nwokoma (Director, Business Services), Ijeoma Bassey (General Counsel), and Olayiwola Adeniji (Manager, Government Affairs).
