The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), operating under the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai, has achieved a significant victory against Boko Haram insurgents in Bita, Borno State.
Confirming the report, Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters, Nigerian Air Force Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame said in the early hours of May 30, 2025, NAF combat aircraft launched precision airstrikes on fleeing terrorists, neutralizing scores of fighters in what has been hailed as one of the most decisive actions against the group in recent times.
The meticulously coordinated operation, conducted under the cover of darkness, marks a substantial advance in ongoing efforts to degrade the operational capacity of terrorist groups destabilizing the North East region. Following the air assault, ground forces have launched clearance and exploitation operations to build on the success of the airstrikes.
Reaffirming the NAF’s steadfast commitment to national security, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at the Nigerian Air Force Headquarters, assured Nigerians that no effort will be spared to protect the nation’s territorial integrity and ensure the safety of law-abiding citizens. He emphasized that all necessary measures are being implemented to deny terrorists any safe haven within the country.
