- Commends huge investment in healthcare
The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who also serves as the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), in Ilorin, Kwara State. During the visit, the doctors expressed their appreciation for the governor’s significant investments in the state’s healthcare sector.
Governor AbdulRazaq recently made a noteworthy decision to approve the payment of new hazard and skipping allowances for medical doctors, along with a 100% CONMESS adjustment. The resident doctors lauded this decision, recognizing its positive impact on their welfare.
The resident doctors conveyed their gratitude to the governor for his prompt actions in recruiting healthcare professionals to address the staff shortages resulting from attrition in state hospitals. The timely recruitment has helped ensure the continued delivery of healthcare services to the people of Kwara State.
The NARD delegation, represented by its Local Organizing Committee (LOC), included Dr. Babalola Farouq, Dr. Dele Abdullahi, Dr. Femi Oladiji, and Dr. Ijaiya Mubaraq.
