The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its airstrikes in the Lake Chad region, effectively neutralizing terrorist threats to the communities of Marte and Monguno in Borno State.
Operating under Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), the NAF targeted a significant terrorist enclave and training camp in Bukar Meram, located on the southern flank of the Lake Chad region. The operation was based on credible intelligence, according to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters.
The air interdiction mission led to the destruction of key terrorist logistics, including supply vehicles, weapons storage sites, and makeshift shelters. Battle Damage Assessment confirmed that the operation successfully disrupted imminent threats to civilian populations and critical areas.
Ejodame reiterated NAF’s commitment to defending the nation’s sovereignty and promoting lasting peace and security across the Northeast and beyond.
