The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as a true patriot and servant-leader who dedicated his life to the service of Nigeria.
In a heartfelt tribute, Marwa praised Buhari’s enduring legacy of integrity, discipline, and unwavering commitment to national development. “He was a man of courage and principle who led with quiet resolve and inspired calm in the face of adversity,” he said.
Marwa highlighted Buhari’s efforts in restoring discipline to governance, strengthening national security, and advancing key sectors such as infrastructure and agriculture. “His administration championed reforms that laid the foundation for self-sufficiency and national pride,” he noted.
Reflecting on Buhari’s leadership style, the NDLEA boss described him as a leader whose simplicity, moral strength, and faith stood out. “His life was rooted in service. He will be remembered for his genuine concern for ordinary Nigerians and his vision of a just and united nation.”
Marwa extended condolences to the Buhari family, offering prayers and support during their time of grief. “May Almighty Allah grant his soul Al-Jannah Firdaus,” he concluded.
