The University of Abuja has issued a warning to prospective students and the general public regarding the activities of fraudsters posing as university officials to extort money and personal favours under the guise of offering admission.
According to a statement by the University’s Social Media Team, the institution has received reports of individuals circulating fake admission notices, cloned websites, and fraudulent social media accounts, as well as making deceptive phone calls and sending misleading messages.
The University emphasized that all official communications and admission processes are conducted exclusively through its verified channels. It urged candidates to ignore any unsolicited offers or demands for payment in exchange for admission.
