NNPC Retail Limited has sanctioned staff members involved in a case of pump attendant misconduct at its Ikorodu station in Lagos, following a viral social media video showing an attempt to defraud a customer.
In a statement on Friday, the company confirmed that its investigation traced the incident to the Ikorodu outlet and emphasised that such conduct violates its core values of integrity, transparency, and exceptional customer service.
As part of disciplinary measures, NNPC Retail disengaged the pump attendant, suspended the station manager, and issued a formal warning to the dealer.
The company expressed appreciation to members of the public for their vigilance and encouraged the prompt reporting of similar incidents through customer service contacts displayed at all its stations. NNPC Retail reiterated its commitment to enforcing strict compliance with operational standards across its retail network.
