The Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation–Americas (NiDOA) has urged Nigerians at home and abroad to strengthen collaboration in driving meaningful and sustainable national development.
NiDOA Continental Chair, Dr. Victor Ubani, made the call during an engagement with youth journalists, stressing the importance of unity in addressing issues that threaten ethnic harmony and Nigeria’s global reputation.
His remarks followed the recent online exchange between Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), and a social media user, which sparked mixed reactions on the “X” platform.

Ubani urged Nigerians to de-escalate tensions and embrace peaceful dialogue, warning that unchecked bigotry could deepen divisions in an already polarised country.
He appealed to citizens to work collectively to rebrand Nigeria’s image and promote patriotism as a foundation for progress.
“Let us continue to forge ahead and chart a new path toward rebranding Nigeria and taking our beloved country to greater heights,” Ubani said.
He called on all parties to move beyond recent disputes and focus on projecting Nigeria positively on the global stage as a step toward achieving lasting growth.
