Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, is representing Nigeria at the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum taking place from September 16 to 18 in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, China.
According to Force Public Relations Officer Force Headquarters, Abuja CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the event, hosted by the Chinese government, brings together ministers, police chiefs, and security experts from around the world to discuss strategies against transnational crime and ways to strengthen global security cooperation.
Egbetokun is expected to deliver a keynote address on September 18 on the theme “Combating Transnational Crime and Countermeasures,” where he will outline Nigeria’s anti-crime initiatives and policing reforms.
Ahead of the forum, he will also meet with China’s Deputy Minister of Public Security, Qi Yanjun, to explore closer cooperation on intelligence sharing, capacity building, and law enforcement ties.
The IGP’s participation highlights Nigeria’s commitment to international security partnerships and joint efforts to tackle global threats.
