India’s new High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ambassador Abhishek Singh, has formally presented his Letter of Credence to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The presentation, which took place on 4 December 2025, signifies the official commencement of Singh’s diplomatic duties in Nigeria. In a statement issued on Thursday, the Indian High Commission said President Tinubu warmly received the envoy and congratulated him on his appointment.
Ambassador Singh reaffirmed India’s commitment to deepening its strategic partnership with Nigeria, expressing confidence in the continued growth of bilateral cooperation across key sectors.
The High Commission noted that it remains dedicated to advancing relations between the two countries, underscoring India’s long-standing ties with Nigeria and its readiness to strengthen collaboration in the years ahead.
