The PDP vehemently asserts that the purported involvement of the APC leader in the hijacking of electoral materials constitutes a grave criminal offense. The party insists that both Amadi and the accompanying individuals must be subjected to legal proceedings, ensuring that they face the full extent of the law.
Furthermore, emerging reports indicate that the individuals associated with Hon. Amadi may be linked to a menacing group responsible for recent acts of terror in Imo State. This revelation underscores the pressing need to apprehend those behind the escalating insecurity within the state.
In a related development, the PDP calls on the police to take decisive action against all identified APC members reportedly serving as personnel for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) during the Imo State gubernatorial election. Such actions, if proven true, would contravene Section 141 of the Electoral Act, 2022. Notably, the party draws attention to the reported involvement of the APC Woman Leader in Owerri Ward, allegedly caught receiving INEC materials.
