Major-General Alli passed away on Sunday, marking the end of a chapter in his illustrious military career.

Major-General Chris Alli served as the Chief of Army Staff from 1993 to 1994, after which he gracefully retired from active service. President Tinubu, recognizing the significance of Major-General Alli’s contributions to the nation, described his demise as a painful loss, emphasizing the late officer’s unwavering commitment to serving the country with honor.

Expressing his sympathy, President Tinubu stated, “I condole with the Alli family and the Nigerian Army over the sad loss of the former Chief of Army Staff. He served his country with honour and retired meritoriously. May the Almighty God rest his soul and grant his family the fortitude to bear the huge void.”
