In an official announcement dated December 7, 2023, President Bola Tinubu has sanctioned the appointment of four distinguished individuals to the National Council on Privatization (NCP).
These appointees, carefully selected to represent the private sector within the Council, are expected to contribute their expertise to the enhancement of Nigeria’s economic landscape.
The newly appointed members are as follows:
- Oluwole Osin — South-West
- Mohammed Mustapha Bintube — North-East
- Olayiwola Yahaya — North-Central
- Akwa Effion Okon — South-South
President Tinubu has articulated his expectations for the new appointees, urging them to leverage their wealth of experience in the private sector to ensure that Nigerians derive optimal value and impact from investments made on their behalf.
Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, conveyed the President’s directive, emphasizing the significance of the private sector’s involvement in driving efficiency and maximizing returns on national investments.
