The announcement comes as a somber moment for the Nigeria Police Force, as we mourn the loss of a distinguished law enforcement officer.

Born on 15th June 1955, AIG Okoye Ikemefuna joined the Nigeria Police Force in 1984 as a Cadet ASP. Throughout his remarkable career, he exhibited unwavering dedication and distinction, leaving an indelible mark on the law enforcement community. Notably, his commitment to duty shone brightly during his tenures as the Commissioner of Police for Ogun State from 2010 to 2014 and as the Assistant Inspector General of Police for Zone 11 in Osogbo in 2015.
