In a commendable display of efficiency and determination, the troops of the 114 Battalion (Rear), part of the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army, successfully rescued three individuals who had fallen victim to bandit kidnappers in Jalingo, Taraba State.
The operation, conducted on January 29, 2024, underscored the military’s commitment to ensuring the safety of residents in the region.
Acting on timely intelligence regarding the movement of the kidnappers transporting their victims from Ardo-Kola to Yoro, troops swiftly mobilized to Apawa village in Yoro Local Government Area. Employing strategic maneuvers, the military personnel trailed the armed group, demonstrating exceptional skill and determination throughout the operation.
Engaging the criminals with superior firepower, the troops forced the bandits to abandon their three abducted victims.
