Agents from the Abuja Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have taken decisive action by apprehending a total of eleven individuals believed to be actively engaged in internet fraud.
This operation, meticulously executed on Monday, February 19, 2024, within a nightclub premises nestled in the bustling Wuse area of Abuja, was executed following extensive and credible intelligence indicating their suspected participation in various illicit cyber activities.
Upon their apprehension, a thorough search led to the discovery and seizure of significant evidence, including three automobiles and a cache of thirteen mobile communication devices, underscoring the gravity of their alleged offenses.
In adherence to due process and the pursuit of justice, it is imperative that comprehensive investigations be conducted.
Therefore, upon the completion of these investigations, the apprehended individuals will be swiftly arraigned before the appropriate judicial authorities to face the full weight of the law.
