The Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON, has extended a warm welcome to the nomination of Mr. Ayodele Olawande, the State’s Youth Leader, as the Minister of State for Youth. In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, Governor Akeredolu also conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Yejide Ogundipe on her appointment as Senior Special Assistant to the President (Food Security).
The Governor commended Hon. Ogundipe, recognizing her as a steadfast advocate who has consistently championed the rights and empowerment of women within the State. Governor Akeredolu praised Mr. Olawande’s appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his unwavering dedication, loyalty, and diligent work for the party, APC, and the State.
He remarked, “Olawande and Ogundipe have consistently demonstrated their commitment to the growth of our great party, the APC, and the development of our State. Olawande’s relentless efforts in advocating for youth inclusion in government and politics have not gone unnoticed. This appointment serves as a fitting reward for his exceptional service.”
The Governor expressed his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for selecting a worthy son of the State for such a significant national assignment. He also expressed confidence that Mr. Olawande’s wealth of experience and fervor for youth development and engagement will have a meaningful impact on the national stage.
“As we anticipate Mr. Olawande’s tenure as Minister of State for Youth, we have every confidence that he will continue to tirelessly advance the interests of Nigerian youths,” Governor Akeredolu remarked.
He added, “These appointments not only reflect the trust placed in Olawande and Ogundipe but also serve as an inspiration to other dedicated party members across the nation. We kindly urge the National Assembly to expedite the confirmation process for Mr. Olawande.”
