The Nigerian Army, through its Post-Service Housing Development Limited (PHDL), has reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare of personnel, particularly in the area of housing, in line with the vision of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General OO Oluyede.
According to Acting Public Relations Officer Post-Service Housing Development Limited Lieutenant Augustina Nkeonye said at a media parley held on Monday, 4 August 2025, at the PHDL headquarters in Abuja, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Major General Isaiah Allison, reiterated the Army’s dedication to providing affordable and quality housing for personnel during and after service.
Highlighting the flagship Affordable Home Ownership Option for All Soldiers (AHOOAS) scheme, Major General Allison noted that the initiative underscores the COAS’s drive to build a motivated and combat-ready force.
“The media plays a vital role in shaping public understanding of our initiatives. We count on your support in ensuring accurate and transparent communication,” he said.
The interactive session was aimed at fostering trust, transparency, and stronger collaboration between PHDL and the media in publicizing the Army’s housing programmes.
PHDL continues to align its operations with the COAS’s welfare agenda, ensuring sustainable housing solutions for personnel across the ranks.
