CDS extols troops’ sacrifice at Eid-el-Maulud

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has extended greetings to officers, soldiers, and civilian staff of the Armed Forces of Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, which marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

In a statement issued by the Acting Director of Defence Information, Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, the CDS urged troops to use the celebration as a period of reflection on unity, loyalty, and commitment to national service.

“As the Prophet brought hope and good tidings to the world, so must we be promoters of peaceful coexistence and optimism—strengthening the bonds within our ranks and across our nation,” General Musa stated.

He reassured Nigerians of the Armed Forces’ unwavering commitment to safeguarding national unity, protecting lives, and upholding the rule of law. He added that the military remains resolute in fostering peace and stability across the country while drawing inspiration from the Prophet’s values of compassion, humility, and service.
